Each year CFSA hold a number of community events and fundraisers to ensure our members can come together to raise awareness, and much needed funds, for CFSA, research and support services.
Why fundraise for us?
Unlike many other health charities Cystic Fibrosis South Australia (CFSA) does not receive any Government funding. This means that we need to fundraise for all of the programs that we offer to our members. We receive some help from other community organisations like Service Clubs such as Rotary and Lions, and we often apply for grants, but it’s very competitive.
How do we spend the money you fundraise?
We want to assure you that money you work so hard to raise for CFSA stays here in South Australia to support our members and families who have been affected by CF. We provide vital services which our members need to survive. Funds raised for CFSA will support the programs and support services listed below, including the following:
- Essential Medical Equipment
- Pharmaceutical subsidies
- Fitness equipment and programs
- Support during Hospital and Home treatment
- Respite activities for families
- Education and information
